Implementing Electronic Records Management Systems

In recent years, many organisations, public and private, have become eager to implement electronic document and records management systems (EDRMS) to improve on efficiency, risk management and overall good governance. EDRMS have been described at the bloodstream of e-government, which would explain the increase appetite for adoption of EDRMS and which is necessary, anyway.

Over the years, research continues to show that well implemented electronic document management systems have profound benefits to efficiency and operational resilience of organisations. Yet research also shows in excess of 90% of records management automation projects stall in under one year. This challenge of minimal success is attributed to ineffective approaches to implementing records management software in organization.

KARMA’s course on Automating Records Management Systems sets the stage of ensuring proper ground work is done before implementing any electronic records management solution. It provides the path to the destination. This is primarily because of the uniqueness of RM processes across organisations. This course on implementing electronic records management systems is about the destination – where actual implementation of the system comes to life.

In this course, we’ll expose the learners to an array of case studies, the good and not-so-good, to learn from all. We also enable you engage with leading industry experts in EDRMS from around the world. Our objective is to help change to the tide around failure-rates for EDRMS projects and motivate and inspire successful implementation of EDRMS solutions.
